The Del Monte Plant 51 (formerly California Packing Corporation or Calpak) complex of buildings at Bush Street in San Jose, CA consists of several different structures built between 1914 and 1930. Plant 51 was mainly the producer of processed dried fruit products until it was closed by Del Monte in 1991. Centex Homes contracted Carey & Co.Inc. in September 2004 to serve as the Preservation Consultant for their conversion of Del Monte Cannery Plant 51 to condominiums.
