Asilomar Conference Center
Pacific Grove , California

The Asilomar Conference Center was designed for the Young Women’s Christian Association as its conference grounds for the Western United States. Eleven buildings remain from the 1913 to 1928 historic period. These buildings, the entrance gates, as well as the overall plan, were designed by Julia Morgan, one of the nation’s master architects of the period. Carey & Co. was retained to prepare Historic Structures Reports and feasibility studies on four of the buildings.
